Sammy in A&P and the narrator in Greasy Lake both perform acts of youthful rebellion and each of the stories end on somewhat of a down note (or perhaps you could argue otherwise). Compare and/or contrast how the respective authors tackle the subject of youthful rebellion (what points are the authors making about youthful rebellion for their audiences?) by focusing your discussion on the respective plights of the central character in each story and how the authors use these plights to help reveal their themes.
